I am so excited to share this beautiful pastel wedding that took place in Cornwall at the beautiful St Just in Roseland’s Church, and The Vean in Caerhays Estate. From the moment Natasha got in touch, I couldn’t wait to be their photographer, and I was excited to realise that I knew Jacobs family from school over 10 years ago!
Natasha & Jacob met at work as Veterinary Nurses and they absolutely love animals, bringing their two Dalmatian cross Collie dogs to the church and featuring them and their cat on their amazing wedding cake made by Jacobs mum!
This wedding is wonderfully inspirational with it’s rustic pastel theme and DIY touches. I hope you enjoy!
The flowers were done by Wendy Sylvester Sliwinski a local friend from Loddiswell. She created all the button holes, bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, flower girl bouquets and flower wreaths. Wendy also filled all the wedding centrepiece jugs, milk churns and pedestals with beautiful pastel coloured flowers and wild flowers.Natasha’s half up half down curled hair style and natural make up was done by Jennifer Hill. Jennifer also did the bridesmaids hair and they all did each others make up. The bridesmaids beautiful blue dresses were from ASOS.Natasha’s beautiful wedding dress is by Benjamin Roberts, bought from Truly Delightful, a bridal boutique, Totnes, with a two tiered veil scattered with subtle diamantes. Bridal shoes were Pink Paradox London in Bon Bon ivory lace bought online from Debenhams. Natasha wore an Ernest Jones necklace with diamonds and sapphires to match her engagement ring.Their two Dalmatian x Border collies, Jasper and Marley, joined them after the ceremony for photos outside of the church, it was important that their boys were there and they both had matching pastel blue collars, leads and bow ties to continue the colour theme.Natasha hand dried all the confetti out of homegrown rose petals and these were placed into brown pastel coloured cones for the guests to throw as they left the church.Their reception took place in a marquee at The Vean, decorated with hanging lanterns in white, light blue and pale pink and pastel coloured bunting, handmade by Natasha’s mum. The table centre pieces were log rings cut by Jacob, pastel blue jugs filled with flowers, vintage teacups collected from markets, ebay and car boot sales, with homemade pastel coloured candles in each. Natasha & Jacob love the outdoors so the tables were named after local beaches, painted onto a pebble, the top table being Crantock Beach where Jacob proposed on New Years Eve 2014.They had a vintage afternoon tea style wedding breakfast with scones and jam, lemon drizzle cakes and chocolate brownies and more. In the evening there was a crepe stand, serving savoury and sweet crepes. All the catering was provided by Pencoose Pantry, a family run business.Their 3 tiered pastel pink, blue and yellow wedding cake was made by Jacob’s mum, and featured them on top, along with all their animals and two Dalmatians hiding in various places. So fantastic!DJ for the evening reception was www.johngreendynamicentertainments.co.uk who did a great job getting everyone dancing all evening. Their beautiful first dance was to “The One by Kodaline” which also features on their wedding video made by family friend Rob Amey, click here to see it!If you need a documentary wedding photographer in Cornwall, I’d be delighted to travel.
