Toorak Hotel Torquay Wedding Photography || Cailin & Ben’s Relaxed, Fun, DIY Wedding

Cailin & Ben booked me around a month before their big day due to a mistake by their original photographer and I feel so lucky that I was available to be their photographer, I absolutely loved capturing their relaxed, fun wedding at the Toorak Hotel, in Torquay.

Inspired by pinterest, this wedding was 4 years in the making, with Cailin creating flower girl dresses, the bouquets, all the decorations and invites, making everything very personal and romantic. Ben provided lots of patience and cups of tea! Cailin loved making everything for the wedding so much that it inspired them to do it as a business!

Their wedding was all about making memories and making it last. Doing everything DIY meant that they could have their big dream wedding within their budget.

Cailin’s beautiful hair & makeup were done by WO Salon and she looked stunning in her dress from Brides at Waterfields! The bridesmaids wore Chi Chi London dresses and Cailin made the flower girl dresses, her bridal belt and the bridesmaid bracelets.The flower arch on the gazebo, the chair flowers, rhinestone clips on the sashes and the hanging glass baubles and roses were all beautifully made by Cailin.Caitlin made the beautiful bouquets because she wanted to keep them after the wedding, it’s now hung on the wall with the photo charms of her Nana, best friend Jules and uncle Aidan.There were lots of kids at Cailin & Ben’s wedding, so they made sure there was plenty on fun things for them to do with a bouncy castle, ball pit and play area from Teign Bounce and Play.Jimmy Ireland played throughout the day, for Cailin walking down the aisle, during the drinks reception and the first dance.The mirror table plan, centre pieces, top table swag, sloe gin favours and place names were made by Cailin. The sloe gin was especially important to Cailin and her Irish family, it was the last drink they all had with her uncle who passed away too early.Cailins mum Janet and her sister Siobhan made all these beautiful cakes!
