Muddifords Court Wedding Photography – Claire and George’s Copper & Green Greek Wedding
The amazing Claire and George got married last August at Muddifords Court. I couldn’t have been more delighted to be their wedding photographer!
George has a big Greek Cypriot family they wanted to include both Greek and English traditions in a venue that gave them the space to hold everyone and the freedom to decorate it how they liked. They went for a copper and green colour scheme using lots of foliage, eucalyptus, succulents and copper candle holders and terrariums.
Claire and George both work in the wedding industry and had a collection of suppliers they really wanted to use. It was an absolute honour to be chosen by them. I’ve admired Claire’s amazing headpieces for years and I couldn’t wait to see what she created for her own wedding!
They were very lucky to be able to go to and from the venue for the three days running up to the big day. With so much to organise they don’t know how they would have done it without this time!Rustic Love provided all the decorations and table plan.Claire’s Sweet Temptations did their stunning cake that tied in with their greenery theme!Lise Bridal Hair did Claire’s gorgeous bridal hair! Sophie White MUA did Claire’s flawless makeup. All while Pickle sat cutely on Claire’s lap.Staying on site with close family meant they had a leisurely morning, with the ceremony just across the courtyard in the Cider Barn at 2pm.Claire got her beautiful dress and veil from Brides at Waterfields. Sari The Seamstress did Claire’s alterations. The family all went to the manor house to see George and carry out this Greek tradition. They then went to Claire to bless their upcoming marriage.Claire’s job is a bridal headpiece designer so it was a lot of fun to finally be making her own. She also a lot of pressure for it to look good, but needn’t have worried though. Everything she does is beautiful! Claire hand made ceramic flowers and hand twisted them with Swarovski gems, diamantés and pearls onto a hair vine. She also made bespoke floral hair combs and matching posies for her bridesmaids, and a blush pink hatinator for her mum.The extremely talented Yazzy provided the music with her stunning voice and wonderful guitar skills. They managed to pack 140 people in the Cider Barn for their beautiful ceremony. Claire’s best friend Tom walked her down the aisle as her dad had passed away a few months before. She was most pleased to see George shed a few tears when he first saw her!Canapés and fizz with edible flowers were enjoyed at the front of the manor house whilst Kaleb Zebadi entertained their guests.Flower La Vita did all the amazing flowers, including the eucalyptus and succulents on the tables.George and the groomsmen got their fantastic green suits from ASOS. The bridesmaids dresses are ASOS too. This floral arch is also available from Claire Austin England. They had an amazing Greek feast by The Greek Outdoors, speeches and then the Greek band gatecrashed them and invited everyone outside to the courtyard to all dance in a big circle. They had a traditional ‘First Dance’ followed by the Greek ‘Money Dance’. It was very surreal but a lot of fun! Bespoke Disco followed on from the Greek Band.
“We had the most incredible day surrounded by our family and friends. I wish we could do it all again! Thank you so much to all of our suppliers, including Holly who took the most beautiful photographs which we will treasure forever.”
