Liz and Terry wanted their wedding to be relaxed, informal and fun. The tone was set when Terry danced down the aisle to The Proclaimers’ Five Hundred Miles with his best man by way of an entrance. The ceremony and vows were evidently heartfelt, yet relaxed and joyous. After the ceremony, Terry danced down the aisle again, only this time with his new wife! They both love dancing and it was lovely that they could infuse their wedding with this passion, as well as their love of fun and of one another.

The ceremony and reception were both elegant and simple. Crisp green foliage was used throughout and looked fantastic against the white table linens and white orchids. The weather on the day was actually quite stormy and it even hailed at one point, yet the simplicity of the green and white colours kept everything bright, summery and brilliant. We did get lucky and the sun shone exactly when we needed it to, allowing us to get some beautiful photos in the grounds of Bickley Mill in Devon. It was a privilege to be Liz and Terry’s wedding photographer and share this day with them!

The men’s suits were Boss, as were the Terry and his best man’s ties. Liz and Terry decked their sons in green silk ties to match the superb verdant colour scheme.

Liz designed all the stationary herself using Vistaprint. The table names and cards were inspired by Liz and Terry’s mutual love of Africa, and the photos were their own. Their daughter in law Alex is a talented artist, so she edited the images to create a very tonal look, which went with the elegant look of the day.

The cake was made by Liz’s best friend Kate; a very talented cake decorator! Liz asked Kate if she could include orchids and ruffles in the design and the effect is absolutely stunning. The orchids look so real it’s hard to believe they’re sugar!

Liz and Terry found the excellent The Quartertones online at Entertainment Nation. Liz and Terry love dancing and the dance floor was certainly kept full by them.

I am so excited to share this gorgeous wedding! The Great Barn Devon is a venue I’ve longed to be a wedding photographer at, and it was amazing! Absolutely stunning buildings and grounds, and the owner John made everything run so smoothly and lit the reception to perfection.

The day was filled with laughter, great food, live music, and gin! The favours were gin, the table plan and table names were gin bottles, and there were more gin bottles hanging from the ceiling. I’m sure you can tell, Victoria and Adam love a bit of gin, and I love it when couples add personal touches like these! (I also love gin)

Orders of Service, invites, table numbers and place names were from Oyster and Pearl Design.

Victoria’s stunning dress is by Caroline Castigliano, shoes by Emmy and gorgeous subtle green bridesmaids dresses from Pirouette, Exeter. The blue and white flowers were by Sarah Pepper. Victoria thought the pop of the cobalt blue hydrangeas would work well in the church and barn. They also looked lovely with the green bridesmaids dresses, the foliage in the bouquet bringing it all together. Victoria’s hair and make up were beautifully done by Nicola Pettitt.

Nick Wyke & Becki Driscoll led the wedding party from the church and played during the drinks reception. They were amazing to hear and photographing the whole wedding party walk/dance from the church to the barn was so different and a lot of fun!

Sarah Pepper also provided the confetti. They had rose petals with herbs, it smelt gorgeous when they walked through into the walled garden.

As gin lovers, Victoria and Adam chose this as their decoration theme, and everyone was roped into collecting bottles. Adam’s wonderful step dad Alan brilliantly put together this table plan. He also made the Church and V&A signs, and the corks to hold up with menus – little touches Victoria wanted to incorporate into the day that he made happen.

This lovely, delicious cake was by Claire Makes Cakes. Victoria and Adam wanted something quite simple that also went with the colour theme. Claire was great at translating their ideas into a design, and the whole lot got eaten on the day!

The band Chelsea Swagger were amazing! They kept Adams 89 year old Gran on the dance floor until the end of the night!

I have so much love for this wedding! Sarah and Nick wanted a very relaxed, friendly and informal vibe to their wedding weekend and they absolutely nailed it. They wanted to get married in Devon as it’s here they’ve built their life together, and with most of their family and friends travelling to be there, they chose Huntsham Court, a country house in Devon that could sleep most of their guests, and knowing how quickly the day goes, they booked it for 2 days to extend the celebrations.

At Huntsham Court, they could do whatever they wanted, and in bring all their own suppliers, making everything very personal to them. They first met whilst on a charity bike ride around Zanzibar in 2013 so this was the theme for their table plan, menu cards and invites which were designed by a friend, and they had home made touches for the decorations.

This was such a wonderful wedding to be a part of, everyone had an amazing time together and it’s documenting days like these that make me so grateful that this is my job!

Sarah’s hair was by Sarah Bainborough and her makeup by friend and MUA Sarah Vigor.Sarah & her bridesmaids shoes were from Debenhams, and for the evening, Sarah switched to a sparkly pair of Converse. The lovely navy bridesmaids dresses were from Amazon and Sarah got her beautiful dress from Prudence Gowns, Exeter.Harbottle & Jonas performed for the ceremony and drinks reception.Nick’s suit was from Next, the ties from M&S and waistcoats Dobell.All the beautiful flowers were by Earth Gallery Flowers.For the place names, they picked bay leaves and camellia leaves from their garden at home and Nicks mum wrote the names on with a white marker. They draped the gold candelabras in Ivy which they also brought from home. Around the room were gold word balloons from ebay. Sarah bought freestanding wooden table numbers and sprayed them gold and also made the blue bunting in the bar at a WI meeting.Their cheese cake was from West Country Cheese, and Sarah’s dad make the stand from a tree in the woods at home. Nick’s mum made jars of chutney and Sarah made jars of plum jam (from their tree at home) and put a jar of each in welcome packs in all the bedrooms.Blue Lion Band performed for their evening reception.I’m not sure what I was expecting when Nick asked me to photograph ‘fire ear’, but it was exactly as it sounded!The catering and food van was by Fego Food Co. who did an amazing job!

Kelly & Ash were joined by 30 of their closest family & friends for their intimate & relaxed wedding at Lavender House, Ashburton. We couldn’t have had a better day for it, not a cloud in site for their outdoor ceremony!

Their theme was country garden with lots of hessian, lace and gypsophila. The bridesmaids stunned in gorgeous blue dresses from House of Fraser, which looked lovely in contrast with the neutral peach bouquets, made by Les Fleurs, Paignton.

Kelly did her own makeup and Nicky from Headways in Plymouth did her hair.

Ash’s suit was tailor made by Donalds in Okehampton, and Kelly looked beautiful in her Anna Sorano from Wed2be.

Kelly’s mum made their lovely cake, and Simply Celebrate in Paignton provided the table decorations.
